Signs Your Child Might Need Support

Parenting is hard, and knowing when to ask for help is even harder. Here are some common reasons families come to me.

🏫

School Refusal

Stomach aches on Monday mornings, tears at drop-off, or intense distress when it's time to leave for school.

😟

Intense Worries

Fears that seem too big for their age, trouble sleeping due to anxious thoughts, or constant "what if" questions.

💥

Big Tantrums

Meltdowns that last longer than expected, happen frequently, and leave both you and your child exhausted.

How I Work With Kids And Parents

Play is the natural language of children. Through play therapy, I help your child express what they can't say with words. But you are the most important person in their life, so we work as a team.

I combine child-centered play sessions with regular parent coaching to give you the tools to support them at home.

What To Expect In The First Three Sessions

1

Parent Intake Session

We meet without your child to discuss your concerns, family history, and goals. This is a safe space for you to share openly about what you're seeing at home.

2

Child's First Session

Your child comes to the playroom. We focus on building trust and safety. I let them lead the play to understand their world and establish a connection.

3

Planning & Feedback

We review how the first session went and create a tailored plan for your child's therapy journey, including how often we'll meet and what goals we'll work towards.

What Parents Say

We were at our wits' end with the tantrums. Dr. Sarah helped us understand what our son was really trying to say. Our home is so much calmer now.

- Mom of a 5-year-old

My daughter was terrified to go to school. After a few months of play therapy, she walks in with a smile. We are so grateful.

- Dad of a 7-year-old

I finally feel like I have a roadmap for parenting. The parent sessions were just as helpful as the therapy for my child.
